This hotel was an oasis for us. We stayed in Cosenza so we could tour southern Italy looking for my wife’s family roots. Cosenza os an interesting place; loud and busy. Hotel Royal is quiet and the staff is attentive and nice. The rooms are average but comfortable. It’s a very short walk to a great area with shopping and restaurants.

Conveniently located near lots of shops and restaurants. But the rooms are not great. AC doesn’t work well at all in the rooms. AC filters look disgusting and made the rooms smell like cigarette smoke. We complained about this several times to the front desk but they didn’t do anything to really fix the issue. Breakfast wasn’t very good but it was just okay.

This is a very nice place to stay. It's Central (literally round the corner from the main shopping street), comfortable with charmingly old-fashioned décor, with friendly staff. There's a convenient garage for cars under the building (once you've found it!!!!!), and they're dog-friendly. Nice breakfast (which they can bring to your room at no extra charge). Very good stable WiFi.

Nice a clean rooms with free breakfast buffet. friendly staff, centrally located. Nice hotel. Major negative is that these walls dont isolate from any sound. At least from the hallway. From 6am you hear staff pacing and guests dragging their luggage down the echoey hall
